Ben Desombre is a French fashion model who was born in 1965. Ben first started out as a a full-time professional squash player before becoming a model.
Ben started playing squash for France and soon ended up in the top 10 players. After that, he moved to the US to be near his daughter. In 1993, he again started playing squash.
In 1999, he was recognized as the “Coach of the Year” for squash. In 2002, he moved to New York and after living in Brazil for 3 years. Then, 4 years after living in New York, he started a modeling career. He joined his first modeling agency and got various jobs. He worked for Martha Stewart Show, and MACYS.
In 2007, Ben got his first contract in Japan; he spent 3 months over there. Then, he moved back to Paris and started his modeling career again from there. Since then, he has been working in the fashion industry.
Ben Desombre has appeared in many campaigns and commercials. He was featured in the Giorgio Armani eyewear campaign. He did a commercial for Galenic and a campaign for Tatuum. He did many covers and editorials for famous magazines.
In March 2012, he was featured in Italian Vogue; the photographer was Miles Aldridge. He was featured in an editorial for L’Officiel Magazine April issue. He collaborated with the famous photographer Satoshi Saikusa. In September, Ben appeared in Burton Campaign; it was captured by Giovani Zaccagnini.
In October 2012, he worked with Patrick Curtet for a Cremieux campaign. In 2013, Ben did an editorial for the Gentleman magazine. This was photographed by Manuel Outumuro. He was photographed for a lookbook of Kult.
Recently, he did an editorial for Tatuum Spring/Summer 2016. It was named Inspired by Generations. He also did a shoot for Naoko Maeda. For this project, she worked with Masashi Yoshino. He is also doing a campaign for a famous perfume.
He would like to work for Hermes or Ralph Lauren. Ben admires Roger Federer because of his hard work and resilience. Other personalities that he likes include Nelson Mandela, Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, and Robert Redford.
He would love to have dinner with Barack Obama, Paul Newman, Bill Murray, Bjorn Borg, Christy Turlington, and his mom. The best project he worked on his was squash career and National coaching. Even the shifting from athlete to a model was an exciting project for him.
