Dasha Malygina is an international fashion model from Russia and an acclaimed DJ, born in 1990. She started modeling when she was 15 years old.

Interviewer: What is the hardest thing for you as a model? Do you like being a model?

Dasha Malygina: I can’t say that I like it..Because it is so hard, you work – work – work and you don’t have much in the end.

I: You did Prada and MIU MIU show. Was it hard to walk in their shows?

Dasha Malygina: In Prada no, but MIU MIU was very hard, because we had very uncomfortable high heels.

I: What does it mean when you are Prada exclusive? How did you react to that?

Dasha Malygina: It means that it is the only show you’re doing in Milan and you don’t need to go to castings for other shows. It’s good because you don’t feel befor and after the fashion week.

I: You also walked for Marc Jacobs, Luella, Pucci, Burberry Prorsum, etc.

What show did you enjoy working the most?

Dasha Malygina: Luella, I did hair and makeup and ALL of the lookbook and the show for this designer, she was very friendly and I had fun working with those people.

I: Which girls are you having most fun with, when you are backstage?

Dasha Malygina: With Regina Feoktistova.

I: What style on runways do you like the most?

Dasha Malygina: I like bright colors

I: You have a small scar on your face. How did you get it?

Dasha Malygina: When I was 4 years old, I fell down from a swing. I love my scar very much.

I: The majority of models smoke. Do you smoke?

Dasha Malygina: Yes, every Russian model smokes. Because it is so to easy buy cigarettes in Russia when you are 12 years old and you don’t have an ID… It is a problem of Russia.. It’s bad.. I’d like to stop but I can’t…

I: And how did your friendship with Lyoka Tyagnereva start?

Dasha Malygina: We have the same agency in St. Petersburg and Moscow, she is a very good girl and I am very happy that I know this girl, she is my good friend.

I: There must be a Russian beauty secret since every girl from Russia is extraordinarily beautiful.

 What is the best Russian beauty advice?

Dasha Malygina: We have many beautiful girls. I don’t no why, but now clients like non-beautiful girls, they always take non-beautiful girls so beautiful girls don’t work much now.
