Karina Taran is from Warsaw, Poland. The young model was scouted at the age of 16 in a shopping mall. After the scout asked her for pictures, she went home and a friend took photos with her, which led to a rapid deal. Shortly after, she did major TV commercials for Douglas, Garnier, and Revlon, plus photoshoots for Marks & Spencer and Miss Selfridge. To keep her mind and body fit, Karina Taran does yoga and practices photography, although she is also passionate about journalism. Her degree leads her to see modeling as more than just posing for photos.
A model apart from the others, Karina Taran believes that freezing in one pose allows the model to express themselves in a moment that will be frozen in time. Through manipulating hair, makeup and style, emotions come alive in the persona of that is put forth by the model. That makes the model into something more journalistic and alive, in terms of human experience. While visiting Zurich, Switzerland, she discovered her idols Txema Yeste and Irina Shayk as fellow models. For Karina, life’s goal is to be happy, loved, and healthy, because it is “all we need”.
