Katja Verbeek is a model, actor and a mother, from the Netherlands who started modeling when she was 14 years old after her brother sent her picture to a modeling agency. She didn’t imagine she would become a model. Back then, she looked like a 20-year-old but was just a child.
Katja was never like a regular girl: instead of looking at herself in the mirror, she was attracted to nature, which is the reason why she needs a stylist and makes up artist to look her best.
She is represented by numerous modeling agencies. She has worked with many famous fashion houses and photographers. One of the photographers she worked with was Olaf Robberse. Her modeling career included editorials, covers, campaigns, and look book. With her dedication and posing skills, she has created some masterpieces.
What she likes most about her career is that she gets to meet and work with creative people. She loves that a model makes the clothes more beautiful. In the modeling career, everything is different; no job is the same, no casting is the same; so, every day is different.
Her most memorable shoot was her first portfolio shoot when started at Elle. Back then, she didn’t use any makeup at all. For this shoot she did and that is something she will never forget. This is because the team made her realized how beautiful she is.
Katja is a firm believer of Buddha and she would like to meet Dalai Lama. She loves to read, so this is why it is hard for her to decide which is her favorite book. However, the books that she got hooked to are “The Alchemist” and “The Why Are You Here Café”.
When it comes to a beauty routine, it is about balance. She pays attention to she eats 5 days a week in addition to playing sports, doing yoga, Pilates, and meditation.
Currently, living in Cape Town, she loves the scenic view it provides, the mountains and ocean. She loves visiting Bella to drink a nice “Café Latte”. Grand Africa is the place where she likes to have a meal. The view, food, music, and atmosphere; everything is outstanding. Another place that she likes to eat, is The Bungalow in Sea Point.
Her favorite city is Venice because of its architecture, people and delicious Italian food. Though she thinks it’s the people who make the city more beautiful. As far as her future plans are concerned, she is extremely energetic and wants to try something different and new. If presented, she will take good opportunities that come her way. She plans on being happy, this is what everyone’s future plan should be. She will do whatever she feels like doing and enjoying her life as much as she wants.
Katja Verbeek put her best effort to make a name for herself among the top fashion houses. She believes that you should be happy and enjoy every day.
