Lisskulla Ljungkvist-Wagner was approached by City Models to go to Paris in 1982 on the street in Sweden. She was 19 at the time. Thinking it was a bit of a joke she decided to try and she never wanted to go back to Sweden again even though she didn't speak a word of French and had no interest in travelling. She worked as a model between Paris, Milan and Munich from 1982-92 and moved to London in 1988.
She completed her degree at the University of London in BSc Psychology and a Masters MSc in Organisational Psychology and since 2001 she has worked as an independent assessor in Business Psychology for large organisations in the private and public sector. She practices competency-based assessment for development and recruitment purposes. She is not a psychologist doing therapy with people it's about skills and abilities in relation to professional roles. In 2012 she was approached by a model agent in London looking for grey hair and since then she occasionally gets modelling assignments.
She was always interested in fashion although she didn't keep in touch with anybody in the industry for 20 years. Returning to modelling has been an interesting experience to her and she enjoys contributing to images of old age in the media to have a variety.
