Chanel with a new exhibition
Autumn is synonymous with exhibition. And for those interested in fashion, perhaps fashion exhibitions are especially tempting. And fashion exhibitions in dreamy Paris, that's the BEST.
From December 15 to January 9, 2023, Chanel will hold the exhibition Le Grand Numeró de Chanel at the Grand Palais Ephémère museum in Paris, according to WWD.
All the senses will be brought to life in the exhibition of the French fashion house, which will focus on the brand's famous fragrances, from classic to iconic, according to the fashion website referring to a press release.
Big fashion news: Norwegian sisters debuted on the catwalk for Gucci
In recent years, several Norwegian models have made it big abroad.
During this season's fashion week in Milan, the Norwegian twin sisters Martine and Gunnhild Chioko Johansen made their international debut. And that for none other than Gucci.
The Italian fashion house had exclusively cast twins as models for its SS23 show dubbed Twinsburg. Already in 2018, Vogue predicted that the sisters "would become the fashion industry's favorite darlings".
Balmain launches makeup
All the famous fashion houses have beauty lines, we thought. Now it turns out that Balmain has no makeup at all. However, the French luxury brand has had Balmain Hair Couture for a full 40 years, focusing on hair products and the latest hair trends from the catwalk.
Now the brand is (finally) launching makeup.
Balmain Beauty will debut in fall 2024 through beauty giant Estée Lauder, aiming to change the world of luxury and couture beauty through "exceptional design, craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to innovation," according to Fashion Network.
- For over ten years, the Balmain team and I have pushed the boundaries of what is possible in fashion. We have aimed to reflect the way today's different generations want to live and dress, says the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, to the website.
Let all the models fall on the catwalk during Milan Fashion Week
Falling on the catwalk has to be every model's worst nightmare. Quite comically illustrated by, among others, Carrie Bradshaw in Sex & The City, where Sarah Jessica Parker's character stumbles under the spotlight at fashion week in New York. And is almost stepped on by an icy Heidi Klum.
When AVAVAV showcased its SS23 collection during Italian Fashion Week, creative director Beate Karlsson let all her models fall on purpose. The collection had a theme of success and adversity, according to Hypebeast.
Perhaps it's no wonder the models tripped, considering the huge Moonster boots they all wore.
Team up with iconic fashion house
Is Wolford trying to make his pantyhose a notch more sensual? Now the hosiery brand is teaming up with Mugler - a fashion house known for its sexy and strong designs and silhouettes.
The result is a so-called Skinwear capsule collection with twelve products, which will pay tribute to the body, according to Fashion United.
The collection combines Mugler's sensual looks with Wolford's innovation and consists of bodysuits, dresses, gloves, leggings, and cycling shorts.
However, it is not the first time the two have butted heads, the last time is said to have been in the 80s.
