What are the thrift stores you should know in Paris? So whether you're looking for that rare pearl or simply a better way to buy your clothes, here's a compilation of Parisian addresses that, like a practical guide, will serve all those who are still looking for the right place to find beautiful treasures.

Thrift stores where to find the best vintage fashion in Paris

Nuovo
Among the most prominent second-hand stores in Paris, Nuovo is definitely at the top of the list. Influenced by the women in her life, from her grandmother to her recent friends, founder Lisa Lingenti opened this lovely space with the idea of fashion that tastes like the extravagance of the 1990s and 2000s. Specializing in the Galliano years at Dior and Tom Ford at Gucci, she selects and offers her customers as many rare designer pieces as fancy clothes. The young generation is already conquered, like the top Jill Kortleve, Tina Kunakey, or Paola Locatelli. The latter has adopted a reversible mesh dress printed with their newly unveiled capsule. Made in France from fabrics from dormant stocks, this collection is in line with the desire to promote a more responsible fashion, yet affordable, at the origin of Nuovo.

Chez Snow Bunny
In Chez Snow Bunny, we teleport ourselves straight into the bling-bling imagination of the 2000s. Low-rise pants, printed crop tops, platform shoes, and other glittery accessories, everything is there. The make-up artist Victoria Sapet, who runs the boutique, offers the perfect selection to try again the feminine and outrageous fashion of that era. Whether it's with small touches soaked in the y2k aesthetic or with a more intentional and assertive kitsch look, this thrift store will appeal to all those for whom fashion is a game, skirting bad taste with fun, and ironizing the beautiful as well as the clichés.

Each item is carefully selected by Lorraine Grangette, stylist and manager of the store, for their nineties character.

Charly's Garments
This is the reference in unisex streetwear. Founded by Charly Ferrante in September 2021, this Parisian thrift store is full of college sweatshirts, Trucker hats, and teddy jackets often called varsity jackets. But you'll also find a whole bunch of slogan t-shirts, some vintage knits, and other pieces signed by Coursaint, Burberry, and Issey Miyake.

Lapin Boutique
A lover of the sixties and a former English teacher, Floriencia founded Lapin Boutique in 2011 in Buenos Aires where she is originally from ("rabbit" being one of the first French words she learned). Her goal was to hunt for outfits capable of resurrecting the aesthetics of the New Wave and the French films of the 60s and 70s that she loves. When she arrived in France, where she dreamed of living, she gradually built a network, multiplied the pop-ups, and then opened her physical boutique in the heart of the capital. There she developed her passion for prints, colors, and iconic brands of that era, such as Courrèges. But she also allows other pieces to find a new owner, whether it's a 1940s dress or baguette bags from the 2000s.

Address: 9 rue Oberkampf, 75011, Paris

Compil Store
Born from a desire to find an alternative to mass production, the Compil Store offers second-hand fashion, mainly sportswear, that is more respectful of the environment. Through a selection of pieces found in the four corners of France and even Europe, Alexis and Shahineze, the founders, take part in the teeming vintage market. The plus? They run an up-cycling workshop within the thrift store to repair and reinvent some of the pieces that are a bit too outdated.

Palace Callas
Palace Callas is a boutique specializing in vintage and archival clothing, located a stone's throw from the Hôtel de Ville de Paris. But it is above all, a family story between the young Alyx Karlier, her mother, and her grandmother. All three share a love of fashion and the great designers who marked their time. From the unstructured Comme des Garçons pieces to the little Jean Paul Gaultier mesh tops and the iconic Chanel gold jewelry, you'll find wonders here.

Gaijin Paris
A Parisian thrift store mixing vintage fashion with Japanese culture, Gaijin Paris is the perfect place to find genderfluid, avant-garde, and yet very timeless second-hand pieces. Carefully selected and assembled by Chahine and Thomas, the founders of the store, these items offer a curation of essential 1980s designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo from Comme des Garçons, Issey Miyake, Kenzo, and many others, less known.

Relique
For Clara Victorya, a content creator with a mastered 70's aesthetic, creating a vintage boutique seemed like an obvious choice. And it's in the heart of Paris, rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth, that this project, named Relique, was born. Adopted by fashionable girls, including the singer Louane, this wildly decorated boutique takes us straight back to the yéyé years and the influences of this epic era in terms of fashion, but also music, cinema... You can find ultra-colored twisted knits as well as rock t-shirts, gingham-printed pants as well as leather jackets that have aged perfectly. Reminiscent of our grandparents' childhood tea parties and Sunday flea markets, there is even a corner dedicated to deliciously kitschy old-fashioned crockery.

Mademoiselle Pimp
Direction Saint Ouen for the last thrift store on this list, is not exhaustive. Behind the name, Mademoiselle Pimp hides Léa, passionate about souvenirs, fashion, and rare objects. As a child, she went to antique shops and flea markets, where her mother had a store. She discovered the art of hunting, whether in Paris or during her travels, for clothes or accessories, big brands, or simple favorites. Nourished by this experience, she launched Mademoiselle Pimp and opened the doors of her most beautiful vintage pieces collected over the years.
