Hugo Mendes Martins Perez Lopes is a Portuguese model born on 5th July 1989 in Lisbon in Portugal. At the age of 15, his friend’s mother asked him to send some pictures to the agency of her friend. His friend's mother worked in Advertising and Fashion, so she had contacts. At that time, he didn’t know anything about the modeling profession. He only knew it will provide him a chance to travel the world. Hugo sent some very silly pictures of him to the best Portuguese modeling agencies.

Hugo Lopes is interested in traveling to different countries. He is always looking for experiencing something new. Since childhood, he has been interested in drawing. Though he loves to read as well, it is not possible with a modeling career.

He studied Architecture in Lisboa, along with modeling; it was an easy task. The biggest job he did is walking the Show during Milan Fall/Winter. He also enjoyed doing an ad campaign for Vespa and an editorial for L’Officiel magazine.
He hasn't visited Zurich yet but had been to Lugano and Basel. The best thing about modeling he likes is video and photography jobs. He believes he gets a chance to build up a character and imprint it.

As far as, the fashion industry is concerned, his idol is A. McQueen. The reason is his content-full work. other than the fashion industry, he admires his parents for putting it up with him. When it comes to support, his family didn’t appreciate his work and it was very difficult for him to make them understand it was an actual job. Over the years, they understand and appreciate his work.

The life goals are always changing, there was a time when he would have said to have a flat or anything else. Now, he would want to be happy and be in peace with his life choices and himself and be content.
