I: So what was the first thing you learned as a model?Yazemeenah Rossi: To don’t be shy anymore, and to have a better posture. I: Do you find it easy to keep a work-life balance?YR: Yes. I am very adaptable and always found solutions to get my balance. I practice Yoga since more than 30 years I can practice anywhere and this is a precious tool. I: Have you got used to the fact that you don’t really know what you’re going to be doing in the next three days?YR: Yes, I deal with this since more than 30 years and I must say that it has a kind of exciting side of not knowing. On a simple call or email everything can change in minutes and I can be sent at the other side of the world! I love the unknown. I: Who have been your icons?YR: An English woman, writer, that I was seeing far away from my home by the beach in Corsica, she was for me the summum of elegance with her long ample skirt, white shirt, thin belted waist, a straw hat above a silk scarf and sunglasses. I never knew her name but her vision is imprinted in me for life and I must say that my way to stand is inspired by her. I: What’s your favorite / most memorable direction a photographer has ever given to you?YR: I once had a shooting in a snowstorm South Australia on a snowmobile, that was epic! I: What advice would you pass along to those starting out in the modeling business?YR: Embrace who you are and cultivate your uniqueness because you are a miracle and nobody is like you.
