Erjona Ala is a Norwegian fashion model with an Albanian heritage. Born in 1995, Erjona was scouted by modeling agencies at the tender age of 15. Her early debut shows paved the way for her to work with different brands, fashion labels, and magazines.
Erjona’s fashion modeling career began in 2010 after she won the Elite Model Look Norway. In the same year, she took the runners-up position in the 2010 Elite Model Look Final in Shanghai, China, marking her starting point in the modeling world. After these runway debut shows, Erjona appeared in more than 65 fashion magazines at 16.
Erjona Ala has worked with different model agencies. She walked for the Balenciaga Show in 2011 Fashion Week in Paris, walked for the fall Azzedine Alaïa couture show, and appeared on fashion shows for Margaret Howell, Temperley London, and Loewe. In 2012, she became the face of the Louis Vuitton 2012 Fall/Winter campaign, and this landed her a chance to participate in the Mango brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Show, in addition to modeling for Chanel in the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2013-2014 in Paris.
Erjona Ala has also modeled for Versace, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Sonia Rykiel, and Proenza Schouler.
Besides, she has appeared in many magazines. In 2012, she was on the cover of Vogue Italia for the first time, and later, she appeared on the covers of Dazed, ELLE Norway, Confused Bon Magazine, and Another Magazine in the same year. She has modeled for W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, and Marie Claire.
Interestingly, Erjona starred in the short film The Erjonas alongside designer Prabal Gurung in 2012, and the browser-based game Stardoll has an avatar based on her.
